QuranNoor (“the App”) is a Quran reader application. We respect your privacy and aim to keep data collection minimal. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it’s used, and your choices.
Information We Collect
We do not require accounts and we do not ask for your name, phone number, or email to use the App.
The App may store some information locally on your device to work properly, such as:
- App settings (e.g., theme, preferences)
- Bookmarks / last read position / progress
- Downloaded audio or cached content (if you use audio features)
This data stays on your device unless you delete the app or clear app data.
Permissions
The App may request permissions only to support features you use, such as:
- Notifications: to show prayer/reading reminders (if enabled)
- Storage: to save downloaded audio or cached files (if applicable)
You can control permissions anytime in your Android settings.
Third-Party Services
QuranNoor may use third-party open-source packages to provide features (e.g., audio playback). These packages do not automatically mean your personal data is shared.
If you add analytics, ads, or crash reporting later, this policy should be updated to reflect it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to keep the App secure. However, no method of storage is 100% secure.
Children’s Privacy
The App is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes.
